Central Hospitality
Purpose
Central Hospitality is responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition; performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish; and prepping for events and Small Group gatherings.
Description
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them
- Gather and empty trash
- Service, clean and supply restrooms
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
- Clean windows, partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
- Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Keep clean and organize all supplies in janitorial closets
- Coordinate with first shift Hospitality worker as it pertains to maintaining all stock of janitorial supplies as well as proper working of all equipment
- Inform Facilities Manager of any building-related repairs that need to be performed
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
- Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks
- Set up, arrange and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders and scaffolding to prepare facilities for worship experiences and Small Group meetings
- Provide plus one customer service while hosting Small Groups as scheduled while maximizing time to complete cleaning responsibilities
- If working at Cliffdale Site, carry and answer the Hospitality phone
- Show flexibility regarding filing in for other shifts across all Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg sites as needed
